FAQ topic
Website development
What we build, how it is built, and what visitors can expect from the result.
What kinds of business websites does AzimuthWeb build?
We build complete, professionally developed websites for Australian businesses. Each site is shaped around the business, its customers, its content, and the actions visitors need to take—not dropped into a generic theme. Our website development service brings design, responsive implementation, performance, security, technical SEO foundations, hosting, and post-launch care into one process.
The right page structure and functionality are defined during discovery. That keeps the solution proportionate to the business instead of adding features simply because a platform makes them available.
Can you redesign or replace an existing website?
Yes. We first review what the current website does well, what is holding it back, which content or brand assets remain useful, and whether any valuable URLs or search visibility need to be preserved.
A replacement plan can then cover the new structure, content migration, redirects, domain changes, measurement, and launch checks. The aim is to improve the site without casually discarding useful assets or creating avoidable dead ends for customers and search engines.
Will my website be mobile-friendly and accessible?
Responsive behaviour is considered across mobile, tablet, and desktop from the outset. We also build with semantic HTML, keyboard usability, readable contrast, accessible navigation and forms, useful error states, and sensible content order as standard engineering concerns.
If your organisation has a specific accessibility standard, audience need, or compliance requirement, tell us during scoping so the required level of testing and documentation can be included explicitly.
Do you use WordPress, templates, or custom website development?
Our approach favours lean, maintainable implementations and avoids generic themes, sprawling plugin stacks, and unnecessary browser code. The exact technical approach is chosen around the website's real content, integrations, editing needs, and long-term support requirements.
If a particular platform is mandatory, raise it at the start. We will explain whether it suits the brief, what trade-offs it introduces, and what we recommend before the scope is agreed.
FAQ topic
Pricing and subscriptions
How tailored monthly pricing works and what the subscription covers.
How much does a small business website cost in Australia?
Every business is different, so every website project is priced individually. We do not start with a basic template or force your requirements into a standard package. Your website is shaped around what makes your business distinct, the customers it needs to reach, and the results it needs to deliver.
Once we understand your goals, content, functionality, integrations, and support needs, we provide a defined scope and a clear monthly subscription price in Australian dollars. Tell us about your project and we will help identify the right scope for your business.
What is included in an AzimuthWeb quote?
The quote is based on an agreed scope. It sets out the intended pages or deliverables, the monthly subscription price, included services, key assumptions, review stages, launch responsibilities, and any known third-party costs so you can evaluate everything before work begins.
If a requirement is uncertain—such as content volume, an external integration, or a large migration—we identify that dependency rather than quietly building an undefined allowance into the price.
Is website development a one-off project or a monthly subscription?
Website development is provided as a monthly subscription, not a one-off build. It brings the initial custom design and development together with hosting, maintenance, and ongoing technical care after launch.
Web standards, browser behaviour, dependencies, and security threats continue to evolve. The subscription allows us to keep your site current, respond to newly discovered vulnerabilities, maintain its performance and reliability, and make the agreed technical improvements it needs over time.
Are there additional website costs after launch?
Hosting, maintenance, and ongoing technical care continue under your monthly website development subscription. Separate costs may include domain renewal, licensed third-party services, ongoing SEO, content work, or new features outside the agreed subscription scope.
Any known additional costs are identified during scoping. Work outside the agreed scope is discussed and approved before it is treated as additional work.
FAQ topic
Domains and hosting
Domain control, Cloudflare delivery, email, and moving an existing site.
Can you use my existing domain name for a new website?
Yes. In most cases the existing domain can remain registered where it is while its DNS records are updated to send visitors to the new website. We plan the change, confirm the access needed, and account for existing website and email records before launch.
If URLs are changing as part of a rebuild, appropriate redirects should also be planned so useful links and established search signals are not abandoned unnecessarily.
Who should register and own my business domain name?
The domain should be registered in an account controlled by your business, using contact and recovery details the business can retain. AzimuthWeb can help with the technical connection and request the access needed for the work without becoming the only party able to control a core business asset.
Does AzimuthWeb provide website hosting?
Yes. Hosting and ongoing technical care can form part of a website development engagement. We use modern Cloudflare delivery for the sites we host, providing HTTPS and fast edge delivery without relying on a conventional shared-hosting stack.
The hosting arrangement, inclusions, and recurring cost are stated in the proposal so it is clear what happens after launch.
Does website hosting include business email?
Website hosting and business email are separate services. If your domain already uses Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or another email provider, those DNS records need to be preserved during a website launch.
Tell us where email is managed and who has access early in the project. We can account for the existing setup and avoid treating a website change as permission to alter unrelated email services.
FAQ topic
SEO
Technical foundations, ongoing optimisation, local search, and realistic outcomes.
Is SEO included when AzimuthWeb builds a new website?
New websites include sound technical search foundations: crawlable semantic content, sensible headings and internal links, metadata, canonical URLs, sitemaps, robots controls, structured data where accurate, social metadata, fast delivery, and mobile-friendly behaviour.
That foundation is not the same as an ongoing campaign. Deeper query research, content planning, technical remediation, local search work, and measurement can be included through our SEO service.
Can you improve the SEO of an existing website?
Yes. We can review crawl and index controls, URLs and canonicals, site structure, internal links, content purpose, metadata, structured data, performance, mobile usability, local signals, and available Search Console evidence.
The resulting work is prioritised by value and dependency. That might mean correcting technical faults first, improving existing pages, creating a clearer destination for an unmet customer need, or specifying changes for another development team to implement.
Can you guarantee a first-page Google ranking?
No responsible SEO provider can guarantee a particular organic position. Rankings depend on competition, search intent, the strength of the website and its content, location, reputation, changing search systems, and factors no agency controls.
We focus on removing preventable barriers, improving relevance and usability, and measuring meaningful trends. Recommendations are tied to evidence rather than sold as a shortcut to a promised position.
How long does SEO take to show results?
There is no universal SEO timeline. A blocking technical issue may be resolved quickly, but search engines still need to recrawl and reassess pages. Competitive topics, new domains, content development, and reputation building usually require sustained work and observation.
We set priorities, validate completed changes, and use Search Console and other appropriate evidence to judge progress. Early reporting should distinguish completed work from outcomes that need more time to emerge.
Can local SEO help a Melbourne or Australian service business?
It can help when customers genuinely search by service area or location. Useful work may include accurate business details, Google Business Profile alignment, clear service-area information, locally relevant content, strong site structure, and measurement of the queries and pages already earning visibility.
We do not create thin location pages for places a business does not genuinely serve. Local content should help a prospective customer understand availability, relevance, and the next step.
FAQ topic
AI content creation
Where generative tools help, and where human direction and review still matter.
What kinds of AI-assisted content can AzimuthWeb create?
Our AI Content Creation service covers website and landing-page copy, business and product descriptions, campaign content, purpose-built imagery, edits and variations of existing images, and focused short-form video for websites or digital campaigns.
The format follows the communication job and final placement. We do not recommend a generative asset simply because a model can make one.
Is AI content delivered straight from a model?
No. Generation is starting material. We define the context, develop a direction, choose appropriate tools, create and compare variations, then rewrite, edit, regenerate, composite, and check the selected work before preparing it for the agreed use.
Nothing should be published merely because a model produced it. Human judgement and client approval remain part of the workflow.
How do you keep AI content accurate and on brand?
We begin with source material, audience, purpose, placement, brand requirements, and practical constraints. Promising outputs are checked against that brief and refined for messaging, tone, composition, continuity, and factual consistency.
Your business remains the source of truth for its services, claims, product details, and regulated information. Subject-matter or professional review should be included where the consequences of an inaccurate claim are significant.
Are AI-generated images and videos suitable for business use?
They can be suitable for a defined website, campaign, advertising, visualisation, or concept role when the creative direction, required format, source material, and intended use are clear. Outputs still need review for visual defects, inconsistency, misleading detail, and fit with the wider brand.
Generative video is particularly useful for focused short-form digital assets; it is not presented as a replacement for every kind of photography or full-scale film production.
FAQ topic
Content and images
What you need to supply and how existing material can be reused or improved.
Do I need to supply finished website copy and images?
No. We can work with finished material, rough notes, interviews, existing pages, brand documents, or a mixture of sources. The website scope should identify who is responsible for each piece of content and when it is needed, because missing content can affect both design decisions and the delivery schedule.
Where original or adapted assets are needed, AI-assisted content creation can be scoped alongside the website rather than treated as an afterthought.
Can you reuse or improve content from my current website?
Yes. Useful copy can be clarified, condensed, expanded, reorganised, or adapted for a new page purpose while retaining accurate source meaning and relevant brand language. Existing imagery can be cropped, extended, retouched, recomposed, or used as a reference when the business has the necessary rights.
We first decide what still serves the customer and the brand. A redesign does not require replacing good material simply for the appearance of change.
Who approves website content, images, and business claims?
AzimuthWeb directs and reviews the work against the brief, but you approve the final business content and confirm that claims, prices, qualifications, testimonials, supplied assets, and other factual material are accurate and authorised for use.
Content involving legal, medical, financial, technical, or other regulated claims may also need review by an appropriately qualified person. Editorial polish is not a substitute for specialist approval.
FAQ topic
Maintenance and support
What happens after launch and how continuing technical care can be arranged.
What happens after my new website launches?
We complete production checks, establish the agreed hosting and search essentials, and confirm who is responsible for the site next. Where ongoing care forms part of the engagement, the same senior team can continue looking after the infrastructure, dependencies, security posture, and technical issues.
The website development page explains the technical foundations and care we can build in from the start.
What does website maintenance include?
The exact inclusions depend on the agreed support arrangement. Technical care can cover keeping dependencies and infrastructure current, investigating faults, maintaining security and delivery configuration, and making considered improvements to the site.
Content changes, new features, SEO work, and response-time commitments should not be assumed to be unlimited maintenance. The proposal states what is included, how requests are handled, and what would be separately scoped.
Can AzimuthWeb maintain a website built by someone else?
Possibly, after a technical review. We need to understand the platform, code quality, dependencies, hosting access, security condition, and any restrictions left by the previous provider before accepting responsibility for it.
If the existing stack is fragile or the requested change would deepen an underlying problem, we will explain that and may recommend a focused remediation or rebuild instead of promising open-ended support for an unknown system.
FAQ topic
Project process
From the first brief through discovery, review, launch, and handover.
How do I start a website, SEO, or content project?
Send a short brief through the contact page with the outcome you want, your current website if you have one, the service you are considering, and any important timing or constraints. We usually reply within one Australian business day.
When the requirement is clear enough to scope, we can return a concise scope and fixed AUD quote. If important information is missing, the useful next step is a focused conversation rather than a premature price.
What information do you need from me?
The most useful starting points are the business goal, target customers, services or products, current pain points, required customer actions, existing website, brand material, available content, important integrations, decision-makers, budget context, and genuine deadline.
You do not need a finished technical specification. Discovery exists to turn business context and practical constraints into a clear page structure, content plan, technical approach, and delivery scope.
How long does it take to design and build a business website?
Timing depends on scope, content readiness, integrations, migration risk, feedback cycles, and the availability of the people approving the work. A focused site with prepared content is different from a large rebuild that also needs strategy, copy, imagery, and system integration.
We set out a delivery plan once those dependencies are understood. Prompt access, consolidated feedback, and timely approvals are often as important to the schedule as the development work itself.
How are feedback, revisions, and approvals handled?
Progress is reviewed in useful stages so decisions about structure, content, design, and behaviour remain visible before the entire site is finished. The scope identifies the review points and responsibilities appropriate to the engagement.
Consolidated feedback from the agreed decision-makers keeps revisions clear and prevents conflicting directions. A new requirement that changes the approved scope is discussed separately before it affects cost or timing.
How do you handle website migration and launch?
Before launch we check the production build, responsive behaviour, important content and forms, metadata, crawl controls, redirects, domain and DNS requirements, analytics or Search Console setup where included, and the hosting configuration.
For an existing site, we map valuable old URLs to appropriate new destinations rather than sending everything to the homepage. Launch timing and responsibilities are agreed so domain, email, and third-party access are available when needed.
FAQ topic
Website ownership
Control of domains and accounts, rights in deliverables, and future handover needs.
Will I own the finished website?
The proposal and project agreement state the ownership and licence terms for the specific engagement. Your existing brand material, business information, and other material you supply remain distinct from bespoke deliverables, third-party software or assets, and managed hosting configuration, which may each have different terms.
If source-code handover, a particular licence, or the ability to move the site independently is a requirement, raise it during scoping. It is better to make that expectation explicit before the technical approach and price are agreed.
Will my business retain ownership of its domain and Google accounts?
Yes. Your business retains ownership and primary control of its domain name and durable business accounts, including Google Search Console (GSC), Google Business Profile (GBP), Google Analytics, and other relevant platforms. Wherever possible, these are registered using an email address your business controls, with AzimuthWeb granted only the access needed to perform the agreed work.
This means your domain, search data, business profile, account history, and other business assets remain with you if your needs or providers change. If part of the website relies on AzimuthWeb-managed technical infrastructure, that dependency and the available transition options are explained separately in the service agreement.
FAQ topic
Cancellation and ongoing arrangements
How project and recurring-service terms are made clear before you agree.
Can I cancel hosting, maintenance, or ongoing SEO?
The renewal, billing, and notice terms for each recurring service are stated in its proposal or service agreement. Before cancellation takes effect, we can identify any domain, data, access, migration, or third-party subscription steps needed to avoid an accidental interruption.
Stopping one service does not automatically cancel a separate domain registration or provider account held by your business, and moving a website may require separately scoped transition work.
Will I be locked into using AzimuthWeb long term?
Project work and ongoing services are defined separately, and recurring terms should be clear before you agree to them. We favour maintainable foundations and recommend business control of durable accounts, but we do not pretend every managed technical setup can be moved unchanged to any host.
If avoiding a particular dependency or preserving a specific handover path matters to you, make it part of the brief. We can then explain the practical options and trade-offs before choosing the architecture.
FAQ topic
Working with AzimuthWeb
Where we work, who leads the engagement, and how collaboration is organised.
Does AzimuthWeb work with businesses outside Melbourne?
Yes. We are based in Melbourne and work with businesses across Australia. Discovery, reviews, approvals, and project communication can be handled remotely, while Melbourne clients can also arrange an appropriate local conversation.
Who will I work with during the project?
Projects are senior-led. You work with the people making the design, content, and technical decisions rather than having the brief passed through layers of account management or an offshored handoff. You can read more about the AzimuthWeb studio.
What kinds of clients and projects are a good fit?
We are a strong fit for Australian businesses that want a professional website, technically grounded SEO, or directed AI-assisted content—and value clear decisions, maintainable implementation, performance, security, and considered review.
The first conversation is also where we identify a poor fit. If the need falls outside our focused services or the proposed approach would not serve the business well, the useful answer is to say so before either side commits.
Can you work with our internal team or existing suppliers?
Yes, where responsibilities and access are clear. We can collaborate with internal marketing or subject-matter teams and coordinate relevant work with brand, content, IT, domain, email, or other specialist providers.
At the start, we identify who supplies information, who approves decisions, who controls each system, and who implements work outside our scope. That prevents important tasks from sitting ambiguously between suppliers.
